Readworks -Articles of the week and Book of Knowledge. Please check out this site with your child - The class code is GE5HVU. Students build their own book of knowledge while reading a wide range of topics

Writing - Sentence writing and quick writes with a focus on descriptive writing and with Mighty Middles and transistion words.
Math
Numeracy - Comparing and Ordering Numbers and Rounding. Small quiz on Friday on Number Sense.
Socials Studies
Students are writing and fine tuning their speeches. On Friday the first presentations begin.
Technology
Internet Safety - Understanding the parts of an online newspaper.

October 5th - 9th
Literacy
Spelling words are given out and a group lesson is completed each Monday. Weekly work is recorded in notebooks and students have two other small periods of time to work on sentences, definitions and and 1 "choice" activity. Quiz day each Friday at 9am. If there is a holiday Monday, there will be no spelling for the upcoming week.
