ELA

Welcome To Our ELA Room!

Room 304

English Language Arts is the study of reading, writing, and public speaking.  I like to think of it as the art of communication.  I believe what our kids need more than anything is the ability to understand others and be understood.  This year I am excited to teach your children how to be better at both of these skills!

I come to KMS with over 20 years of teaching experience.  I have taught everything from Kindergaten, to high-school at an alternative learning institution. I have degrees from the University of North Dakota in Elementary Education.  I also have my Masters Degree in Educational Technology.

Outside of school I love to read, write, and dabble in outdoor pursuits with my family.  My husband, Jerome, works at KMS as a reading teacher and my daughter, Reid, is a 8th grader in Team Platinum.  My son, Harrison, is a freshman at MSU.

I have learned over the years that kids are kids, no matter their age.  (Imagine that!)  They love candy, stickers, and to be loved.  I look forward to our year together!
