Flathead Agility Strength Training
(Over for Summer '24)
Our Philosophy
We here at Flathead High School believe in maximizing the abilities of athletes through the use of sound science-based training principles. It is through a focus upon teaching and developing proper movement that we aim to reduce the risk of injury while improving physical performance. Balanced programming based upon building athletes from the ground up and designed to address all facets of flexibility, strength, power, speed, agility, and plyometrics are used to prepare athletes for competition. This is done through the implementation of well-planned teaching progressions aimed at gradually physically developing athletes to enhance their performance abilities.
Through building an environment where athletes are held to the highest expectations, coaches mentor and develop student athletes in both their sport and in life. Flathead High School morals of discipline, perseverance, and work ethic are consistently reinforced upon student athletes. Building upon these cornerstones an environment focused on teaching is created, where athletes learn not only the “how to” but the “why” behind their training. By empowering athletes in their training we believe they become empowered as a group to shape themselves and their own attitudes toward becoming champions.
The focus of F.A.S.T. is on Agility, Strength, and Speed to help prepare athletes for the physical and mental demands of sports competition. This program is designed to increase our athletes overall explosiveness as it pertains to speed and strength. A Championship Level of Competition is the Core Goal of our F.A.S.T. Program!! We want our athletes competing in the weight room and in their speed/agility workouts every day.
