ABOUT US
Flathead High School is the home school of approximately 1,550 students in grades 9 thru 12. Students come to FHS from a variety of schools across the Flathead Valley. Approximately 40 percent of our students come from Kalispell Middle School (KMS) while the remaining 60 percent come from partnering elementary districts. We are proud of the diverse backgrounds our students bring to the Flathead Family.
FHS boasts its notorious International Baccalaureate (IB) program in which two-thirds of juniors and seniors take at least one course. Students are challenged in rigorous courses that prepare them for their journeys after high school. Students that take IB courses feel well-prepared for a variety of post-secondary education and training opportunities.
Assisting FHS students are approximately 150 full time staff members--approximately 100 of which are certified educators.
The Flathead High School Activities Department believes that all students belong in activities as they are integral to the high school experience, develop work ethic, and other intangibles that are difficult to develop elsewhere.
