Students who are interested in the trades are encouraged to connect with Lisa Smart and/or Vicki Schenk, (vschenk@sd48.bc.ca) District Trades Coordinator, to learn about opportunities for working in the trades.
Students are to go through an in-school application process and have a ticketed journeyperson supervise and sign off authority status employer willing to sponsor them in the workplace.
Youth Work in Trades enables students to move directly into the apprenticeship training system while attending high school, and earn a maximum of 16 credits towards graduation
