October 16th's Email to Families

I am excited to be your child’s teacher for the remainder of the school year. Below are a few updates from this week:

• This week we started using SeeSaw in our class. This is an online portfolio that allows us to share our learning from class with parents/guardians at home. Today in your child’s backpack is a sheet outlining how to sign into SeeSaw at home to view your child’s learning. If, you haven't signed any of the online forms involving your child's access to technology, please do so at the link below. Portfolio work is now a big part of our feedback and assessment communication. If you have any questions or concerns regarding SeeSaw please let me know.

• We will also have a classroom website – were I will post updates, our class schedule and reminders throughout the year as well. Link will be emailed soon.

• I also want to remind everyone we have a severe peanut allergy in our classroom. If you do send peanuts to school we will find another location for your child to eat, as our classroom is peanut free to make sure it is a safe environment for all students.

• Finally if you can make sure all your child's belongings are labelled this will help us know exactly who they belong to if they are left behind at the end of the day.
