Collaborative Models of Support
Learning Practice Communities
Learning Teams of teachers will be able to observe each other, collaborate, support and be invigorated by learning together. This creates opportunities for teacher observations, engagement, and reflection, and most importantly developing a common language around our Practice. A system of Collaborative Models of Support will bring teachers together for purposeful dialogue using data to plan invisible, universal interventions for students while also creating job embedded learning for teachers.
Purposeful Growth -- Developing common practice
We intend to continue to send teams (3 or more) of teachers to learning opportunities around inquiry and deeper learning. We have budgeted for Professional Development in house, and also to support this initiative.
• Learning and the Brain - we are continueing to support virtual attance for enrolling teams at this confence.

• Collaboration structure in our School Learning Plan for Teachers to work together on building authentic projects.
Last year we ran a staff initiated retreat in Vancouver focused on Math assessment and hands on math inquiry. Staff have selected to continue this practice this year, and working through details for our upcoming May proD.
How is our budget aligned with this School Learning Plan?
Budget will support the funding for Professional learning teams to experience rich learning opportunities like the on-line course at Harvard.
Budget will support the additional allocation for release time for teachers.
