Learning more about the world around is what science is all about! Many interesting topics are part of the 5th grade science curriculum.  

The major units of study include:

We will be using Mystery Science to provide engaging, hands-on activities and experiments - all of which are a major part of the curriculum.  Each unit is intensely studied and the students will spend some time researching a specific aspect of each unit.  


As part of the science program, we also cover health.  Instruction will be comprised of good hygiene, drugs and choices, mental health, and puberty. Representatives from Robert Crown will come to our school and give an age appropriate presentation on body changes and puberty.
