Kimberly Moorman attended Ball State University were she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance in 2002. She received a Masters Degree in Choral Music Education and a Performers Certificate from Northern Illinois University in 2007. Currently Mrs. Moorman is continuing her education with course work from Vandercook College of Music in the areas of Vocal Pedagogy and the Vocal Mechanism, Music Technology and Playing and Teaching Ukulele.

During her time at NIU, Mrs. Moorman was selected to travel to Verona, Italy to participate in the Voce D'Estate, a 3 week intensive program for emerging opera singers performing songs of Italian & English Composers, studying daily with vocal coaches and teachers. She also was a member of the Philander Consort of Dixon, IL for 2 seasons.

Mrs. Moorman currently serves as the director of choirs at Traughber Junior High in Oswego, IL. Before beginning at Traughber, Mrs. Moorman directed the choirs at Huntley Middle School in DeKalb, IL from 2004-2014. Mrs. Moorman developed a curricular choral program and under her direction the choirs won numerous first place ratings at the District and State level of the Illinois Grade School Music Associations Choral Organizational Contest. In May of 2014 the music department at Huntley took home an unprecedented 10 trophies including overall awards in 3 categories and the coveted Esprit de Corp award at the Music in the Parks music festival. In addition to the choirs, Mrs. Moorman has directed highly acclaimed musical theater productions including Aladdin, Jr., The Little Mermaid, Jr. and Seussical,Jr.

Since beginning her tenure at Traughber, her choirs have been selected to perform at the Illinois Music Educators Conference and have consistently received superior ratings at the SD308 Fine Arts Festival, Music in the Parks Festival and Dixie Classic Competitions. In the summer or 2017, her students were chosen to travel to NYC to perform at Carnegie Hall as artists in residence with Distinguished Concerts International New York performing the world premier of "La Avispa Brava" composed by Alberto Grau, Latin America's most highly acclaimed choral composer.

Mrs. Moorman is a member of the National Association for Music Educators, the American Choral Directors Association and the Illinois Music Educators Association.

She is the chancel choir director at Oswego Presbyterian Church where she directs the adult choir, coordinates the worship leading team and frequently sings solos.

Kim enjoys musical theater and has performed in over 30 productions. Most recently her performing venue of choice is Stage Coach players in DeKalb. www.stagecoachers.com Some of her favorites roles were Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly, Rona Peretti in Spelling Bee, Marion Paroo in The Music Man, Lady Tiang in The King and I and Sarah in Company just to name a few.

Kim lives in Oswego with husband, Aaron, 10 year old son, RJ.
