Welcome to the Murphy Band Community! At Murphy, everyone is welcome in the music department. Mr. McGehee (choir) and Ms. Karvelius (band) are very proud to offer many opportunities to explore music through the concert bands, concert choirs, jazz band, and 6th grade general music.

In band, your student will become a part of a great community of exploring, understanding, and performing music. Our goal is for students to develop an appreciate for the fine arts. Music expands beyond sound and performing. We want to teach your student skills that will assist them in their daily lives and maybe introduce them to a lifelong passion.
