About Us

Murphy Jr. High School was opened in 2012 as the newest junior high school in Oswego Community District #308. Since then, the Murphy music staff has worked to create an environment for students to excel in music. With our 4 performing instrumental music ensembles, we strive to develop students into citizens who have a true awareness and understanding of music as an art form. Students experience music through performance, listening exercises, exploring connections in other disciplines, and more. It is our hope that students leave our program with an appreciation of music and the arts that lasts a lifetime.
