P.E. Schedule for the Year:
August/September – Flag Football, Soccer, Frisbee Football, Pickle Ball, Tennis
October/November – Floor Hockey, Soccer inside, Kickball, Badminton
December/January/February – Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton
March/April – Lacrosse, Pickleball,8 Base, German Long Base
May – Softball, Frisbee Golf
Mrs. Barger/Mrs. Hauger and Mrs. Edwards will be your P.E. teachers for this year. Our grading procedure is very simple; show up on time, give 100% all the time, dress down if you choose to do so, shower if necessary, participate, and most of all have fun! We have a list below of how you will be graded in order to pass this class, a list of things that you will need to bring every day and the activities that you will enjoy throughout the year. Your teacher may also choose to give you a Responsibility Mark for your class also.

Grading Policy:
Each day you will line up according to your teacher to take attendance and to do daily stretching and exercising warm-ups. You will be given 2 pts/day, 10/week points according to how well you do each day.
Basic Participation Grading Rubric for Physical Education 6-8:
4 and below Minimal Evidence of Understanding: I am showing minimal effort. I am not working to potential. My absences are affecting my progress. I need regular re-direction.
5/6 Approaching Standard: I am beginning to get it! I am working towards my potential, making effort! I often need re-direction.
7/8 At Standard: I got it! I am showing great potential and am showing great effort! I rarely need re-direction.
9/10 Above Standard: I got it! I consistently reach my potential! I can move forward on my own!
Responsibility Marks: We expect that students take responsibility for their actions/behaviors and are respectful to staff and each other.
4 and below Student rarely meets the expectations/regularly needs redirection
5/6 Student occasionally meets the expectations/often needs redirection
7/8 Student usually meets the expectations/rarely needs direction
9/10 Student usually meets all expectations/no redirection

Physical education is designed for you to have fun and stay fit for a lifetime, all while working on the Components of Fitness! We want you to design a plan that works for you and to improve your fitness level! We will be doing the following sports: Flag Football, Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Floor Hockey, Badminton, Softball, Yoga, Aerobics, Cross Country Running, and other exercises and wellness activities.
