Invite SD1 to join you in the classroom!
Invite an SD1 representative to lead Lesson 2 by modeling storm water pollution in the classroom! The Enviroscape town model storm water pollution demonstration allows students to see that even one person can make a drastic change in the environment – good or bad. The demonstration integrates science, but also teaches students important life skills like cause and effect and critical thinking.
Email enviroedteam@sd1.org to request an in-person or live, virtual Lesson 2 - Enviroscape Demo visit!
SD1 has Enviroscape, Watershed Decisions and The Watershed Game: Classroom Version — Stream Model Activity Kits available. Teachers are welcome to check-out these activity kits if they are interested in leading additional live watershed activities with their students.
Enviroscape
Use this 3-D town model to demonstrate how storm water pollution occurs and how our personal actions make a difference.
Watershed Decisions
A hands-on, inquiry-based activity kit that helps older youth and adults learn about water quality issues in small watersheds and the decision-making processes that go into improving those water quality issues.
