Q1 - Sewing
In the sewing unit students create several machine sewn projects that focus on various types of stitching and basic repair techniques.
Project Examples Include: Back Pack, Locker Caddy, Pillow, Pencil Case, Chromebook Case.
Q2 - Cooking
During the Foods unit, students will make several recipes and learn in a traditional kitchen setting to help prepare them for real-world experiences.
Project Examples Include: Cupcakes, Tacos, Pizza, Spaghetti, Fruit Salad, Fruit Smoothie.
Q3 & 4 - Woodshop
In the Woodshop Tools and Technology unit students will learn shop safety proper use of hand tools, and proper use of machine tools to craft and create several projects. Projects include: Nameplate, Jewerybox, Blackhawk Feathers and Tic-Tac-Toe Board
Q3 & 4 - Career Exploration
Career Exploration will provide students experiences that will increase understanding of life skills and career development. Experiences include understanding West Aurora High School Course Guide, preparing for college, explore personal career options, and Budgeting
