7th Grade Band is offered to students who completed band in 6th grade. 

8th Grade Band is for students in their third year of band. 

Students enrolled in band will continue to expand their skills on a major wind instrument or percussion through scales, exercises, and repertoire that explores music from many genres and cultures. All band students perform in three main concerts, have the opportunity to participate in the Solo/Ensemble Festival, and additional special performances per grade level. The 7th Grade Band combines with the West High Wind Symphony at the District 129 Fine Arts Festival. The 8th Grade Band performs at the Washington Middle School Veterans Day assembly, the District 129 Band Festival, and various assemblies throughout the year.

Students who did not complete the prerequisites but are interested in band should speak to Mr. Brosius or Mr. Garland.
