Mini Prototype: K-5

PURPOSE:

Before coaching staff and developing site-specific plan for high school project prototype, there was a mini attempt for a Compassion Project with K-5 learners.

FOCUS:

• Systems; understanding systems; my place in systems; compassion; empathy; connectedness; global citizenship; thinking; caring;

DETAILS:

• Two-day mini project;
• Topic: Understanding Connections
• Inquiry: What is my place in the world and the context around me? Who am I when no one is watching?

STRUCTURE:

• Two day intense lessons and inquiry activities;
• Lessons and activities: Lessons and activities selected from "The Shape of Change" , "The Systems Thinking Playbook: Exercises to Stretch and Build Learning and Systems Thinking Capabilities", Habits of System Thinkers
