This is the Linux section of the knowledge base. Its purpose is to provide you with articles that help you perform certain tasks while working with the Linux operating system.

Since Mac OS X is also based on a UNIX subsystem, many things also apply to OS X. However keep in mind the two are different systems, so not everything that works on Linux will work on OS X out of the box. Installing a package manager like Mac Ports or Homebrew, makes life a little easier when it comes to this.
