SCUSD Induction Program
Welcome to Sacramento City Unified School District Induction Program
Welcome to the SCUSD Induction Program. Our program engages all preliminary credentialed SCUSD teachers in a two-year job-embedded formative assessment system of support and professional growth to fulfill the requirements for the California Clear Multiple Subjects, Single Subject, and Education Specialist credentials.
All Participating Teachers engage in weekly support with a highly skilled Support Provider. While enrolled in the SCUSD Induction Program teachers will participate in formative assessment and reflective practices of their instructional practices while working towards mastery of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTPs.) Building and creating collaborative relationships provides support and guidance to teachers as they undertake the complex job of serving the diverse needs of their students. Observation, mentoring, feedback, demonstration lessons, and planning are a few of the many ways Support Providers provide support for our new teachers.
