Intervention students choosing to complete the tackle craft intervention class will need to purchase a fishing pole kit to complete their project. At the end of the class the fishing pole will be theirs to keep and use or give to another person. I have had quite a few kids in the past who have custom built fishing poles and given them away as Christmas or birthday gifts to parents, grand parents, and even siblings. Kits range in price from $30-$50 depending on the type of pole the student wants to create. Spinning rods are on average the cheapest option, followed by casting rods and then fly rods. Students will need to purchase their own reel at the culmination of the project as the cost for the fishing pole kit is for the blank, guides, cork handle, reel seat, thread and epoxy only. Payment in full is required by the Wednesday after class starts. Payment can be made by cash or check.
