It is time to get our instruments and become a band! PLEASE BRING THIS PAPER TO THE RENTAL MEETING
Tuesday, September 3rd is instrument rental night. For your convenience in renting a quality instrument, we have a special meeting planned for parents and students at the Scott County High School band room.
Representatives from Hurst Music, ph. (859) 335-0500, a music store in Lexington, will be present; and parents will be given the opportunity to rent an instrument and purchase a band method book. Times are listed below for each instrument.
The directors from all the Scott County middle schools and additional helpers will instruct students in the assembly of their instrument and production of the first musical tone!
** The band room is located in the back of the high school, please enter next to the gym.
Those students who already have an instrument need to bring it to school so that the band director can check it for its playing efficiency. It is impossible to learn to play on an instrument that does not work. (No antiques, please).
** Please, Do not purchase an instrument without me checking it out first.
All band students will need to have a quality instrument and a band book in class by Wednesday, September 4th.

Flute 6:00 – 6:30 Rental 30.00/month Band book $10.00
Clarinet 6:30 – 7:15 Rental $30.00/month Band book $10.00
Sax 7:15 – 7:30 Rental $49.00/month Band book $10.00
Trumpet 7:30 – 8:15 Rental $30.00/month Band book $10.00
Trombone 8:15 – 9:00 Rental $30.00/month Band book $10.00
Percussion 6:00 – 8:00 Rental $30.00/month Band book $14.00
If you cannot make your appointed time, please come sometime 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
