Ms. Manwaring grew up in Georgetown Kentucky and was a graduate of Scott County High School in 2013. While in high school, Ms. Manwaring loved being involved in the bands and choirs, was National Honors Society President, and Prom Queen. She loved her high school years and education, which inspired her to become a high school teacher. Ms. Manwaring graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2020 with a degree in English Education and minor in Spanish education. This will be her second year teaching, and she is excited to transfer back to Scott County.
In her free time, Ms. Manwaring enjoys reading any book she can (especially non-fiction), creative writing, taking walks, playing the piano, eating pizza, and keeping herself busy with various crafty projects.
Fun fact: When she was 20, Ms. Manwaring moved to the country of Chile to work as a volunteer for 18 months--a position requiring fluent Spanish. She spent 6 weeks in Mexico City taking basic Spanish classes all day, and then learned Spanish by immersion upon arriving in Chile with only a Spanish-English dictionary in her suitcase."
