Mr. Dellinger worked in Product Design and development for 20 years, and specialized in injection molding and metal stamping products. Early in his career Mr. Dellinger was an in-house product designer for Drexel Heritage Home Furnishings, Tenneco Packaging, owner of the Hefty® trade name, and The Coca-Cola Company. In 2001, Mr. Dellinger joined AMG, a multi-national company currently holding the trademarks to Aussie® and MECO® brand products, as well as an exclusive license to the Samsonite® name. While there, he employed his design skills in furniture and outdoor grills to create high-end product suitable for mass merchants such as Wal-Mart, Target, and Costco. In 2005, Mr. Dellinger came to Kentucky and joined E. D. Bullard® and was promoted to the role of design supervisor for the company. In his nine years of employment at Bullard, Mr. Dellinger contributed to the design and development of thermal imaging cameras, powered air purifying respirators, and industrial head protection. His designs have won the Coca-Cola S.P.O.T. Award for Excellence, a Today Show “Best Of” Award, and have appeared on CNN, NBC, Architectural Digest, House and Garden, and Elle’ Décor.
In 2014 Mr. Dellinger entered the teaching profession wanting to show the next generation the joys of engineering. He has worked as the Engineering teacher at Royal Spring Middle School, Scott County Ninth Grade School, and now Elkhorn Crossing School.
Mr. Dellinger lives in Georgetown, Kentucky with his wife and two daughters.
