Mrs. VonBehren

Mrs. Von Behren grew up in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Her high school year she was nominated for the U.S. Air Force Academy but decided to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical School in Florida to major in Aerospace Engineering for 2 years. She transferred back to her home state and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors of Science in Materials Science Engineering. She won several awards at the University of Kentucky for her research in metal alloys and Polymers. In addition, she earned a (Rank II) Masters of Art in Teaching: Math & Science from the University of the Cumberlands and a Rank I for Teaching in Engineering Technology. Mrs. Von Behren worked as a Materials Science Engineer in industry before converting to education.

She currently lives in Lexington, Ky. and has four daughters named Ashley, Alecia, Amber and Anna. Disney World and the Beach are her two favorite locations to spend vacation. She loves Milk Duds, Peanut M & M's, Carmello or 100 grand Chocolate Bars and Dr. Pepper. :)

Fun Fact - She was offered the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant for the Mars Rover Project and turned it down because she had no idea what a Mars Rover was at the time. This was the very first Mars Rover product design prototype.
