Character Traits

Character traits tell us who people are on the inside. They are determined by a person's behavior. However, they are often confused with physical traits. A character trait is not how a person looks on the outside, rather it is who they are on the inside. For example, in the picture provided, the woman's character traits would be that she is smart, brave, honest, and caring. Her physical traits include things like being pretty, having brown hair, and being tan. There IS a difference between the two. Make sure to remember that as you analyze your characters.
