Ohio legislation requires most school districts to transition to the updated evaluation system (OTES 2.0) in the fall of 2021.
This 5 hour asynchronous course, facilitated by the SCOESC Curriculum Department, is designed to provide teachers with an understanding of the OTES 2.0 process and components.
The course is composed of six modules: The Law and the OTES 2.0 Framework, the OTES 2.0 Rubric, Professional Growth and Improvement Plans, High Quality Student Data, the Full Evaluation Process, and Ratings/Ohio Evaluation System.
COURSE DIRECTIONS--PLEASE READ
Each module will include a video of a recorded presentation, Google Slides, activities to complete, and supplemental resources. Course modules do not have to be completed in one session. Each module allows you to simply click on the presentation link to begin the training. Within the recording, presenters will direct you to the handouts or materials that are needed for each activity. The resources links will allow you to access materials and handouts needed to complete the module activities and provide additional assistance.
In order to receive a certificate of completion, a score of at least 70% must be achieved on the comprehensive Google Form assessment. A link to the comprehensive assessment is found following the sixth module. A certificate will automatically be presented to you upon successful completion of the assessment.
