This is part one of a three-part series of modules designed to take a teacher through all the components of developing a focused and effective curriculum.
Module one provides research that explains why a solid and aligned curriculum leads to more significant student achievement than any other initiative. Participants will explore the processes necessary to develop a coherent written curriculum, including identification of essential standards, standards deconstruction, pacing and mapping. Two contact hours will be awarded for the completion of this module.
