CASC Testing Calendar

End-of-Course Exams (EOC)

End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP)The End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) is a statewide assessment program of end-of-course tests for gateway courses awarded units of credit in English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The EOCEP encourages instruction in the specific standards for the courses, encourages student achievement, and documents the level of students' mastery of the academic standards. Gateway courses in English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies will be defined by the State Board of Education. EOCEP examination scores count 20 percent in the calculation of the student's final grade in gateway courses. Defined gateway courses currently include Algebra 1, Intermediate Algebra, Biology 1, English 2, and United States History and the Constitution, or courses with other names and activity codes in which the academic standards corresponding to these subjects are taught.

Students taking Algebra 1, English 2, US History, or Biology will take the EOC in a face-to-face setting. The EOC is required and counts as part of the student's final grade in the course. Testing information will be sent to students' email with testing dates and locations.

SC Career Readiness (WIN)

South Carolina High School Career Readiness Assessments

All 3rd year students will be required to take a SC Career Readiness Assessment (WIN) in person in the spring. 4th year students will take the WIN if they have not already or need to retake sections in the fall.

SAT/ACT

All 3rd and 4th year students will have the option to take either the SAT or ACT for free with CASC in the spring. Students can sign up to take the SAT or ACT on their own. Visit www.collegeboard.org for information on the SAT and www.actstudent.org for information on the ACT.

PSAT

Students in their 2nd year or 10th grade will be given the option to take the PSAT.

PSAT Practice Test

Virtual SC

Students who take a course through Virtual SC will take their exam via MonitorEDU. Instructions on how to register for Virtual SC exams will be sent around 2 weeks prior to the exam window. Please follow the instructions carefully. CASC will pay the $15 exam fee for students taking a final exam via Monitor EDU

Photo IDs

Many testing sessions require students to have a Photo ID. A permit or driver's license is acceptable. If students do not have either of those, they can order a school ID by clicking the button below.
