2021 Art Gallery
For the first time, the 2021 Youth Summit featured a Virtual Art Gallery, showcasing over 50 youth artists from New York City.
Artivism is the interconnection of art + activism. Through a variety of artistic mediums such as painting, mixed media, sketch, spoken word, fashion, and performance, artivism empowers young people to get their voices heard and uses art as a tool to promote social justice causes.

To The Future by Katherine Guimac. On display in the virtual art gallery.
Aligning with the Youth Summit theme of dismantling disproportionality, NYC Youth Artivists were asked to create a piece of work that addresses a disproportionality in society and envision what an equitable, fair, and just world looks like.
The Youth Artivists showcased in this gallery use their voice to amplify issues such as mental health, racial justice, wealth inequality, and educational inequity, issues they have seen manifest throughout their school community, environment, and society. These selected works also envision the world and community young people want to see, promoting ideas of peace, sustainability, fairness, and equity.
