MEET THE STAFF

Ms. Ward

Editor-In-Chief, Site Design, English Teacher

Ms. Ward is a teacher at M.S. 407 and a writer from Brooklyn. When she's not in the classroom, she is revising her first novel. She's written for her high school, college, and graduate school newspapers. Before teaching, Ms. Ward worked for Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, editing the hospital newsletter for publication. She has taught English classes for nearly a decade and enjoys watching movies, cooking, and shopping in her spare time.

Diana Abdelaziz

Writer

Diana, a middle schooler at M.S. 407, loves to chill after school. She enjoys calling her friends, playing Cookie Run Kingdom, and drawing. Crab rangoon is among her favorite foods. She loves watching Touhou and playing other related games. Diana has an older sister, an older brother, a younger brother, and one twin sister.

Ethan Acosta

Ethan is a sixth grade student at M.S. 407. He graduated from fifth grade last year. He enjoys video editing and drawing pictures. He has a younger brother and an older brother.

Noah Aragon

Writer

Noah , a sixth grader, lives in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from P.S. 264 last year. He enjoys playing Fortnite and Minecraft, drawing, and watching TV. Noah has one older sister and two pet cats named Nugget and Mr. George. His favorite hobby is playing outside with his friends.

Ryan Barbosa Hernandez

Writer

Ryan, a sixth grader, is a graduate of P.S. 170. He enjoys being comfortable at home and watching YouTube videos. He also enjoys playing games on Nintendo Switch, in particular, Castle Crashers. He has four cats and a popcorn maker.

Angel Cuzco

Angel Cuzco is a sixth grade student at M.S.407. He graduated from McKinley Elementary School last year. Angel Cuzco enjoys drawing and playing soccer. He used to have pet goldfish and rabbits. He also loves cats.

Mariam Egadze

Mariam Egadze, a sixth student at M.S. 407, graduated from P.S. 264 in 2024. Mariam enjoys reading, drawing, and playing video games. She also performs musical theater at VSPAC. She has a cat and three sisters.

Hamza Elsayed

Hamza is from Brooklyn, New York, and is a sixth grade student at M.S. 407. He graduated from P.S. 264. He has one younger brother and one older sister. He enjoys playing soccer, football, and basketball. His favorite teams are the Brooklyn Nets, Barca, and the New York Jets. He also enjoys reading and playing Fortnite with his friends.

Zehra Guney

Zehra, a sixth grade student, was born in 2013. She graduated from P.S. 264. She likes to draw and hang out with her friends. Zehra also enjoys using her phone and playing with her best friends, Isabella and Mckala. At home, she has an aquarium tank filled with eight pet fish that she feeds once a day.

Jacob Hankin-McNeil

Jacob Hankin-McNeil is a sixth-grade student who graduated from P.S. 185 in Bay Ridge. He enjoys skiing, scouts, Costco shopping, and traveling abroad. He also loves Japanese food and pasta with sauce. Jacob has one younger sister and an indestructible seven-year-old dog.

Mckala is a sixth grade student at M.S 407. She was born in 2013 in Brooklyn, New York. Her number one favorite subject in school is math. She enjoys using her phone to study for exams. Mckala also likes playing video games in her spare time.

Matthew, a sixth grader, graduated from P.S. 185. He enjoys playing soccer, drawing, and hanging out with his friends in his free time. Matthew was born in Brooklyn, but his family is from Mexico. His favorite food is pasta and meatballs. His favorite drink is vitamin water. Matthew has one older brother.

Sara, is currently in sixth grade. She is from Brooklyn, New York and graduated from P.S. 264 last year. She enjoys going to the park, helping her mom cook, and playing with her younger sister. Sara also has a big brother.

Jason Zhang is a sixth grade student. He graduated from P.S. 264 and is from Brooklyn, New York. He enjoys playing video games, basketball, and drawing. He has an older brother and two turtles.

Chloe, a sixth grade student, is from Brooklyn, New York. She enjoys various video games like Sky:Children of Light and Genshin Impact. She graduated from P.S. 204. Chloe’s hobbies are drawing, and playing games. She also loves sleeping.
