Collaborating with the United Nations Visitor Center, high school students in grade 9-12 are invited to submit original artwork that reflect the theme of UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) around reduced inequity and peace, justice and strong institutions. This contest is designed especially to uplift and showcase the voices, perspectives, and creativity of multilingual learners. Winning artworks will be displayed at the United Nations Visitor Center. NYCPS is offering the Global Leaders Academy. This program is designed to expose high school multilingual and immigrant students to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) while helping them develop their leadership, language, and other critical 21st century skills. Students will visit Permanent Missions to learn how the UN SDGs are being addressed on the global stage and meet with global changemakers across diverse sectors. The program will conclude with students developing and pitching innovative solutions that address these SDGs to social impact leaders.
