Senior Monster Projects 2023
SENIOR CULTURE CREATION PROJECTS - 2022
Objective: Your team will write and execute a complete lesson to teach the class about your assigned Norse Mythology story.
Teams have been assigned specific sections of Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology. It is the responsibility of your team to write and execute a complete 30 minute lesson for those particular stories.
Description: Since the dawn of time, humanity has been entranced with the idea of monsters. But these phases of obsession come in waves, as seen from the 19th century’s flood of Gothic novels, and new tidal now in the 21st century. Your group’s task is to create a monster. Using all of the diagnostics and rules associated with the creation and misunderstanding of monsters, your task will be to embody these concepts to create your own version of a misanthrope for modern society. Through a collection of interviews, research, film, art, novels, text (etc.), your group will create a 10-15 minute video which will fully immerse the audience into a world haunted by your monster.
Description: You are a marketing team just hired by a major corporation to sell one of their most useless objects and/or services in a 10 minute infomercial. You know this item is completely useless, but you cannot turn down this job, so you put your best face forward and get to work using all of your knowledge of persuasive technique. You know this is the break of your career, but it could be your “big break,” or your “break down,” depending on your success or failure to mesmerize your audience.
