7th Grade Jr. Ambassador Humayra Bhuiyan
The junior ambassadors’ afterschool club is designed for seventh and eighth grade students who have an interest in world affairs and being a global citizen. The club members are curious about how the United Nations works and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . The SDGs are 17 priorities adopted by member states of the UN they fall into three categories; eradicating poverty; protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for ALL people.
While exploring the SDGs students voted that this year the junior ambassadors will focus on SDG 1: No poverty - Ending poverty in ALL its forms and SDG 2: Zero hunger- achieving food security, improved nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture for ALL.
