The new Midwood Jazz Band Club ("The Swingin' Hornets") is a student-organized "big-band" style jazz performing ensemble that meets after-school in the back band room (B19). A goal of the club is to provide a creative space for students to improve their playing skills in a jazz style and take part in performing and organizing music-centered events. Recently the band has performed at the 2025 Midwood Latin Fest and Open House events. 

Midwood Students who are interested in jazz and play any instrument (including guitar and bass) are encouraged to get involved by completing the Jazz Band Club Interest Form.
