Midwood Band students perform in a wide range of settings throughout the school year. Major performances include the Winter and Spring Band Concerts, Homecoming, Open Houses, Pep Band at sports events, S!NG, graduation ceremony, and cultural celebrations (Latin Fest, Kwanzaa Fest, Asian Fest, and Caribbean Fest). 

In the spring, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble also perform at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Festival/Contest. These adjudicated performances for a judge panel are not allowed to be video recorded. At NYSSMA 2025, Wind Ensemble earned the GOLD award and Symphonic Band earned SILVER for their performances.
