Chamber Music Club
The Midwood High School Chamber Music Club is a student-run organization focused on making music in small groups. The club is flexible and open to any Midwood student interested in making music with others in a student-led group setting. A variety of musical backgrounds and interests are welcome, including instruments not typically included in school bands (such as string instruments).
Chamber Music Club meets after school on Thursdays and Fridays 3:30-4:30pm in the band room (B15). The individual small groups within Chamber Music Club may also practice independently outside of these official club meetings (and not all students/groups meet on both days each week). Students are also welcome to practice and explore music independently during club meetings. No previous music experience is necessary to attend.
Examples of Previous Chamber Music Groups:
Flute Trio, Percussion ensemble, Jazz Combo, Bass/Drums Duo, Folk/rock band, Jazz-style "Big Band," Guitar duo, Woodwind ensemble, etc.
