Green Zone

I am in the green zone.

When you are in the green zone, your "systems are optimal." You feel happy, calm, and focused. Some people describe this feeling as being "in the zone!"


Here are some clues your body may be sending you:

  • You are sitting at your desk

  • You are ready to learn

  • You are doing your work


While in the green zone, it can be important to be mindful of how you are feeling. Mindfulness is the practice of 'being present' or taking notice of what's going on inside your mind and body. Being mindful can help you remember how to access the green zone when you find yourself in another zone. Being mindful can help you protect your zone!

Gratitude journaling

Start a gratitude journal- use any old piece of paper- and write down as many things as you can think of that you are grateful for. Post the list where you can find it easily, to remind yourself of your list in times of trouble!
