Why should we listen to the Pegi ratings?

Some games these days have stuff that is censored for kids because it might be too disgusting towards them. Stuff like mortal kombat is not for kids because while you are a kid you think a lot and these things that you see in the world you will remember and if he/she remembers this they might have nightmares and change of behavior. This is why some games are rated 18+. Because they look at the bigger picture. And we look at the entertainment purpose.

In my opinion, you should not buy a game that is over 18+ for an 11-year-old but we can not make that choice in the world. It's the parents. So if you are a parent thinking about getting your child mortal kombat for his 13th birthday you should think about it really deeply and see the bigger picture. You should look at the long term effect on him/her, and if you think that your child is mature enough go for it but if you don't think that your child can take everything you see in these games don’t go for it. For all the children that are reading this read this quote and read it carefully, “NO” is a complete sentence. It does not require an explanation to follow. You can truly answer someone’s request with a simple No.”

Games that are rated 13+ or PG, might be good for your child but it depends on the Genre of the game. Some games can be rated 13+ and 11-year-olds can play it. But if the rating is 13+ you should listen to it, because it’s for your own good and the people or company reviews the game and gives a fair rating for it. Because there are many games that are rated very low like FIFA and rocket league two games that even 18 years old play. So as I said before look at the bigger picture outside the box, don't stay inside, look out and look at your child’s future and how you want it to be.
