All Chromebooks should be shutdown once every day or so....closing the lid is NOT shutting down! You need to click the "shutdown" option then push the power button to turn it back on.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet shutdown and then push the power button to restart your Chromebook.
If you can not log in, because you forgot your password, then contact the Help Desk for a password reset.
If the "Aw, Snap!" error appears, the webpage you tried to load crashed unexpectedly. Most times, you can dismiss the error by pressing Refresh.
Having a lot of open browser tabs uses up your Chromebook's memory and battery. This is likely to cause problems with the browser. Try closing any currently unused browser tabs.
Having sudden trouble? Added any new extensions or apps? Try removing them to see if the issue is related to one of these newly installed items.
Limit the number of extensions you are auto-loading as they do require system resources and can slow your system.
It is very important for the Dell student school issued Chromebooks to be charged with the Dell certified power chargers. Use of any 3rd party power chargers, or a power charger from another device, will lessen the life of the battery in the Chromebook. If the provided Dell power charger is lost or damaged, it is recommended replacing it with a Dell certified charger. The Help Desk now has replacement Dell certified Chromebook power chargers available. Parents/Guardians will be invoiced for any fees.
Immediately contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@schalmont.net) or 518-355-9200 x3099) to report the incident
