SCCOE Wellness is in solidarity with our students of color and families who experience detrimental impacts on their mental and physical health due to systemic oppression caused by a legacy of white supremacy.
SCCOE Wellness is committed to addressing and breaking down the structures that were built upon white supremacy in order to advocate and create a culture of wellness for all students that prevents and mitigates the compounding effects of racism, discrimination, and systemic oppression on our Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color.

Ujima is a pan-African advocate dedicated to healing and strengthening our community through a cultural lens. There is a real need for pan-African behavioral health services — a need exacerbated by systemic racism. We exist to meet this need. Brothers and sisters come to Ujima to find community, affirmation, and a sense of belonging through treatment, advocacy, and services for our health and wellbeing. Reconnecting with our culture is how we HEAL: health, education, advocacy, and liberation.
The CLYLP Bay Area Institute (BAI) was established in 2014 to inspire and motivate students from the region to become the future leaders of the Bay Area Chicano/Latino community through public service. Open to 50 students from the 13 Bay Area counties, the three-day institute offers an impactful program designed to develop students’ leadership potential and increase their knowledge of the region’s cultural and political landscape. Institute participants connect with education, business, political and community leaders from the Bay and receive encouragement in their pursuit of post-secondary educational opportunities. Housing, meals and program materials are provided at no cost to the participants or their families.
