ENROLLMENT SURVEY UPDATE FEBRUARY 2023
The Diversity, Inclusion, and Access (DIA) team in the Office of Federal and State Accountability (OFSA) made slight corrections to the Spanish translation of the Enrollment Survey (ES) that was embedded in enrollment processes as of the start of the 2022-23 school year. All South Carolina public school districts are expected to have the updates, outlined below, embedded in online and/or paper enrollment processes no later than the start of the 2023-24 school year. In addition to the outlined updates below, DIA has included a PDF to show the original ES and the three needed updates visually.
All updated ES copies, resources, and guidance can be found on the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) Migrant Education, McKinney-Vento, and Title III webpages. Additional guidance and resource documents that have been recently updated are listed below for reference as well as updated on the
above-mentioned webpages.
Updated Documents as of February 2023

ENROLLMENT SURVEY TRANSLATIONS
Please note that the language accessibility requirements of the Gujarati, Hindi, Tagalog, and Vietnamese PDF documents are not set to the language of the translated document. Rather they are set to English. Therefore, if a family requires an accommodation such as a screen reader or oral accommodations, the school is responsible for providing that (e.g., qualified translator), just as they would any other necessary accommodation.
Additionally, some of the characters in the Gujarati PDF were not recognized in the accessibility review and could not be corrected (not a translation issue, only accessibility). Again, the school is responsible if a family requires any accessibility accommodations to access this PDF.
