Educational Model

This summer our educational model met each week to develop our plan for this year including both in school and remote experiences as well as a virtual academy. Information about our plan can be found on our Back to School Site. Because of our synchronous in school and remote approach, if/when we move to full remote, students will remain with their assigned teacher so the community they have created can continue. At that point, all students would join via a remote video conferencing tool (Google Meet or Zoom) and would continue to participate in daily live lessons with both synchronous and asynchronous experiences. Our plan is to maintain the same schedule your child currently has including all content areas, specials, lunch, and recess. Our specials (art, library, music, PE, and STEM) schedule has been created to run on a day day rotation. Your child's specialist will let them know when it is time to change to the next ten day rotation. For your information here are the rotation dates. These dates will be adjusted for snow days. The weekly asynchronous day is counted in the ten days. Our usual cycle day assignment does not apply to specials this year.

The usual cycle day assignment only applies to instrumental lessons as well as some support services like gifted education.
