Choir students have the chance to showcase their talents at our Spring Concert by performing a solo or a small ensemble piece (up to 4 singers).
What to Expect:
Choose any school-appropriate song from any genre.
If you’re unsure whether your song is appropriate, get approval from your choir teacher before you start practicing.
When your song is fully prepared, make a video recording of yourself performing it and submit it in Google Classroom under the topic “Spring Concert” in the assignment titled “Solos and Ensembles.”
You may be asked to sing your song in front of your class.
Please note: Not every submission will be selected for the concert. Your teacher will choose as many as time allows.
Preparation Tips for Solos & Ensembles:
Start practicing early so you’re performance-ready when it’s time to submit your video.
Memorize your music so you can focus on expression and stage presence.
Practice with your group regularly if performing in an ensemble—stay together on tempo and cutoffs.
Record yourself practicing to hear what’s working and what needs improvement.
Perform in front of friends or family before submitting to build confidence.
This is a great way to share your voice, explore music you love, and shine on stage!
