Grading Scale & Grade Point Values

The chart below outlines Saddle Brook High School's grading scale by showing the letter grade, its corresponding numerical range, and the grade point values used in calculating a student's Grade Point Average (GPA). Because Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, and Regular courses differ in academic rigor, each course level is assigned a different grade point value. This weighted system recognizes students who challenge themselves with more rigorous coursework while providing a consistent method for calculating cumulative GPAs and determining class rank.
