Happy New Year!
Welcome Back!
Cold winter air leads to dryness, which can cause sore throats, bloody noses, dry skin, and chapped lips in children. Consider using a humidifier and sending lotion, Chapstick and a water bottle to school.
Cold and Flu season are in full swing. Please help us prevent the spread of illness by keeping your child home if they have:
Fever 100 °F or higher (must be fever-free without medication for 24 hours to return)
Vomiting / Diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Difficulty Breathing
Undiagnosed Rash
Encourage frequent handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and adequate hydration.
Winter Weather Safety
Make sure students are dressed appropriately for outdoor play — warm coats, hats, and gloves are important for comfort and safety.
Healthy Habits for the New Year
Aim for 8–10 hours of sleep each night
Include fruits and veggies in meals and snacks
Drink plenty of water
Get daily physical activities
Limit screen time before bed
