Basic Welding

Class Description

The Introduction to Agricultural Welding class should be one of orientation and beginning study in the broad and complex career of welding.  Students will gain an understanding of the procedures of welding and the process of the technique.  Class members will spend many hours practicing a variety of welds in different positions using four different welding/cutting procedures (Oxy-fuel welding and cutting, GMAW, SMAW).  An understanding of electricity and its hazards will be incorporated into its role in welding.
