SPECIALIZING IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL YEARS
We are an independent day school for grades 6-9.
For more than 40 years, since our founding in 1976, we’ve been setting the pace with an advanced academic curriculum. We specialize in this age group, as the transition to adolescence is when the foundation is solidified for a child’s self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of personal responsibility. Our unique diamond program sets the stage for the magic to happen.
Serving approximately 175 students, our educational environment facilitates academic achievement, while also bolstering all aspects of a child’s well being. Our “diamond” curriculum has four main components: Academics, Outdoor Education, Creative Arts and Sports, and Community. It is designed to fortify the intellectual, physical, social and emotional vitality of the whole child. Our graduates are compassionate leaders, problem solvers, and global thinkers.
Most of our alumni say that SBMS was their most formative, positive, and powerful educational experience. We challenge students to develop life skills in all areas, with the stability of a safe and nurturing community. Leadership, self-advocacy, creative problem solving, compassion for others, and global awareness are just a few of the traits that distinguish our graduates. For more, check out our WEBSITE
