We are proud to be in partnership with the following companies and organisations over the last couple of years. Without their support we would not be able to offer the boys of SBC the huge variety of opportunities in preparing them for life beyond school.
Thanks to Tony, an old boy of St Bernard's and a Director at NME, we are able to offer a Gateway work placement. Nic in Y13 will be exploring HVAC and electrical work.
Jonathan from Gateman is supporting us with a Gateway Placement for Riley in Y13. Riley will be working with all things electrical gates both residential and commercial.
HOBM has been a huge support in providing us with a venue to support various events such as First Aid Course's and the Career Navigator Programme
Tish is supporting Cole in Year 12 to give him workplace experience that aligns with his Animal Care course at Whitireia.
Career Navigator is working with a handful of our year 13 students figure out their next steps after SBC through a year long mentorship programme.
The Robinson Institute has opened up their space for Year 12 and 13 physics and chemistry students to explore the work they do through field trips and Gateway experiences.
WorkZone has taken 2 of our students on their Gateway programme to introduce them to scaffolding as a career and potential apprenticeship opportunities.
AMC is working with our Gateway students to offer them work experience as Electricians
