STAR Courses

STAR provides flexible funding for courses which will better respond to our students’ needs.

Some of this is used to compliment classroom programmes and some is used on short courses to support individual students.

These short courses can help to support students to explore career pathways and help them make informed decisions about their schooling and future work or study. 

Some examples of how we use STAR funding include:

• Courses for our Hospitality Classes

• First Aid Courses

• Short Tourism Courses

• Barista Courses

• Guest Tutor for our music programmes

• Guest Tutors for Work Ready workshops

• Transports for Career Expo and Open Day events

• Short course during the holidays for students
