Available Dogs

Before applying to adopt, please note that all of our homes must understand that adopting a dog is a commitment to that pet for the entirety of it's life. All our homes must also have a plan for continuous training and socialization, and all members of the household must be aware and on board with the potential of adopting a dog.

Meet Our Wisconsin Dogs - Now Available for Adoption

Meet Pip

Breed: Maltese

Age: 3 years old

Good with Dogs: Yes

Good with Kids: Unknown

Good with Cats: Unknown

Adoption Commitment: $350

Sweet little Pip has had a hard start to life. Pip was used as a breeding dog for a breeder/puppy mill in Texas. We were first made aware of her and some others we took in after our Texas partners helped rehome over 100 dogs from this property.

Pip is a good girl who has a shy nature but has a very calm temperament and will fit in well with a family who can teach and show her with it is like to be a dog. Pip arrives to Wisconsin at the end of April and we are excited to offer her the life she always deserved!

Meet Luna

Breed: Lab Mix

Age: About 2 years old

Good with dogs: Needs guided introductions

Good with kids: Yes

Good with cats: Unsure

Adoption Commitment: $400

Luna is a playful and energetic girl, who makes everyone laugh around her. Do you like hiking or the outdoors? If so, Luna is perfect for you. This ball of energy would do well in an active home. She does well with other dogs when she has slow and proper introductions as she is still learning boundaries. Luna is sure to keep you entertained and laughing as she is always on the go. When she has settled after a nice walk or being outside, she is affectionate and will curl up with anyone who will give her belly rubs.

Meet Sassy

Breed: Pyrenees Mix

Age: 1-2 years old

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: Yes

Good with cats: Unsure

Adoption Commitment: $400

Don’t worry, this girl is all sweet and no sass.

Sassy came to us, along with her sister Maddy as an owner surrender where one of the owners passed away and they couldn’t keep the property so had to sell the home and minimize the number of animals. Knowing their story, we fell in love with them instantly. Sassy and her sister have been waiting for the right time to come north to Wisconsin and we are happy to tell you that THE TIME IS NOW!

Arriving this weekend, Sassy is looking for her forever home. This not-so-little lady is sweet, affectionate and acclimates well to a home environment. She has made herself comfortable in her Texas foster home and is truly an easygoing girl.

Sassy is also a tripod! She lost her leg when it got tangled in a fence … but don’t worry, she gets along just fine on three legs. At about 1-2 years old, this girl is looking for a forever home who can love, spoil and let her watch true crime documentaries (she truly loves them)!!

If you’re interested in Sassy, don’t hesitate, apply today.

Meet Angel

Breed: Terrier Mix

Age: About 4 years old

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: Yes, we believe older kids would be best

Good with cats: Yes

Adoption Commitment: $350

As noted, Angel is coming to us as an owner surrender; we anticipate this to be a big transition her since she’s used to doing what she does. Angel is timid in new situations but seems to warm up quickly. She will benefit from training to help form a bond with her new owner and ease the transition in a positive way. Patience and routine will help Angel thrive.

In her previous home she was known to be potty trained, medium energy, and good with the grandkids. She currently is allowed to free roam but we would expect her to be kennel trained through the transition for her safety. Additionally, we know Angel will take time to transition and we believe she will do best in a home with older kids who can read and respond to her body language.

We believe Angel may enjoy (and benefit from) a walking buddy or regular exercise routine. It also seems that Angel will benefit from having another dog in the house to help her transition and continue to gain confidence. With that, we always recommend slow and proper introductions.

We cannot guarantee that Angel doesn’t bark often and we know that this will be an adjustment for her and is going to take time. We do know that Angel is a fun-loving, low rider who will make any house a home. If you’re ready to give Angel her FOREVER home, apply today!

Meet Terry-pending

Breed: Basset Hound Mix

Age: 1-2 years old

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: Yes

Good with cats: Unsure

Adoption Commitment: $400

It's Terry's Turn!

Terry came to us from an overpopulated shelter in Texas where he found himself on the EU (euth) list. Knowing we could give him a better life, knowing he deserved better, we instantly tagged him for rescue!

Terry is a friendly, social and playful companion. He loves his people and he considers every person “his people.”

This social butterfly is a low rider whose tail is constantly wagging. Though his legs are on the shorter side, he will try to insist he can drive better than you, so a doggie seatbelt or even a dog crate is best for this guy when riding in the car. Terry is making his way north to Wisconsin and we are looking for his forever home.

Meet Layla-Arriving 9/22/24

Breed: Pyrenees/Lab Mix

Age: 3 years old

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with kids: Yes

Good with cats: Unsure

Adoption Commitment: $350

Layla is scheduled to travel to Wisconsin on Sunday, September 22nd and we are now accepting application for this sweet girl. Originally a stray in Texas, Layla cautiously led her puppies to safety while looking for food one late afternoon.

Once in care, Layla settled in quickly and enjoyed the attention and pets from the family who helped her. She has been around kids of all ages and seemed to enjoy their presence.

Layla is a tidy momma who likes to keep her area clean; she has had no accidents in the house or kennel so far. She is friendly and welcomes pets and kisses from her humans. Layla has been social with all the dogs she has encountered so far. She is friendly and respectful with boundaries.

We understand that traveling from Texas to Wisconsin is a big transition and we believe Layla will settle in nicely to any home willing to show Layla love and consistency as she learns what forever feels like. Could that be with you? Apply for Layla today!

Letty is on her way to being a gentle giant! Letty, was led to safety by her mother, Layla and hasn't looked back. She can be shy at first but quickly warms up with treats and pets.

Letty is currently being fostered in Texas with other cats and dogs and gets along with all of them. Letty's current best friend? A Maine Coon cat! Even though all the animals in her foster home are smaller than her, she is gentle and loves to play with her foster sibling, the Maine Coon cat the most.

Letty is still a growing puppy who is eager to learn and please. As noted, she is food motivated and will make a great training companion. She has been doing fantastic with crate and potty training in her Texas foster home.

Don't wait, apply for Letty today!
