Dr. Vijayakumar obtained his under graduation in the year 2009 from Madras Christian College, Chennai. He completed his post graduation in the year 2012 from Annamalai University. He obtained his doctoral degree in the year 2018 from University of Madras. During the tenure he was awarded Senior Research Fellow in a project sponsored by DST- SERB. He was awarded Research Associate from CSIR during 2018 -2020. Later he was awarded Post Doctoral fellowship from Shenzhen University, China which was delayed due to the COVID lockdown. He then joined as Post Doctoral Fellow in SSN institutions. During his research tenure he has published 51 articles in International/National level peer-reviewed journals. His thesis was adjudged as Best Thesis and was awarded the Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan best thesis award from the prestigious Indian Association of Crystal Growth. He is a reviewer for Journal of Molecular structure, Optical Materials, Materials Letters, Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, Applied Physics A: Materials Science and Processing and Journal of Crystal Growth. He has a teaching experience of 1.5 years and at present he is working as Assistant Professor (SG) in Saveetha School of Engineering, SIMATS.
